Folding@Home

Some of you may have noticed on my vent comment something like (currently folding p.XXXX). The XXXX is the project number that i'm currently working on for Folding@Home. You can get more information on what exactly this is at http://folding.stanford.edu/ I'm currently folding for the EVGA team and i'm ranked 193501 of 1628619 in global rank.

Now for my point in this post....
I was curious what other peoples thoughts on this are. Like would you do it or wouldn't you do it? And do you think projects like this really do help people?
I would really like to know if anyone else does this and if so what are your motives for folding?

Huh. I always liked the idea of these things, such as SETI. I looked over the project and found it rather interesting. I might add my computer to the slave computers. :P
