Is this good enough?

Does my build look fat in this?

Is this good enough?

I'm trying to think of something creative/unique for my greylisting creation. So I am building a hadron collider. It's not complete yet, I just wanted your thoughts on the build so far.Image

well....assuming it's based on the real thing, it would most likely be a BAD build for greylist. Why? It's mostly underground, with a few square buildings here and there. However, some kind of space-themed version that allows for an actual exterior beyond what would essentially be a round pipe and a control room would be good. If it actually shows off your building skills, you should be fine, but that'd be hard with an underground structure. Also, make sure you're not doing it just because it's big; bigger=/= better

So then I should bring it above ground? And give some exterior appearance to it then? And also, should it be a model of the real thing?

I would say you should focus more on making it look interesting by using details. It's all very well if it goes to the top of the world and back, but it means nothing if it looks like crap. Details are often defining features, so for example, instead of making just a great hunk of metal and calling it ALICE, add components that would make it seem more realistic; Magnets, cooling chambers, control rooms, piping, the full works, because that's the sort of thing that people like to see. Detail.

Edit: I have seen your control room, but it doesn't look like it's filled to the brim with advanced machinery. Clutter it up a little. And one last thing: don't just place torches everywhere, try and find some different ways of lighting. Experiment a bit, see what else works. If you're worried about mobs, turn it to peaceful mode.

all up to you. a carbon copy wouldn't reflect how creative you are, it would simply show you can follow a set of instructions. Put your own spin on it, make it interesting, make people want to look at it!

above ground, below ground, floating in the air, upside down, inside out, made of water, Mongol-themed, invisible, made entire of cream cheese, you can do whatever you'd like with it (except invisible. don't be lazy now!). there are alot of ways you could do this, so might be worth planning a bit, get an idea of what you want, and then go build!

The only problem with bringing it up on to the surface is that the well-known hadron collider, the LHC at CERN, is entirely underground.

To be honest, I like it underground - if you can pull it off it should give the place an air of mystique as a military base would, sealed from ordinary civilians, a bit like the ficitonal place "Baskerville" in one of the new episodes of Sherlock which were on the BBC a few months ago.
