Not bad. Source of light are correct, except the most bottom stone. You might want to add more color and maybe play with opacity.

Er what exactly do you mean by opacity? The opacity slider for layers?

Thanks! :D

It's pretty, you picked right colors and you even got light shading. However, your lighting feels more like gradient than lighting. Light doesn't make diagonal \\\ shades at objects but it follow the 3d of the object. Easy example is examine objects around you-- like a ball show a crescent moon lighting shape.

And you should consider wacom + photoshop :) .

Thanks, next time ill work to improve my lighting :)

By Wacom you mean the tablets ? I personally don't want to invest in one till after upgrading my computer. But a friend (who draws nicely by hand but not with the mouse) was interested in one, but they are a bit expensive, what would you recommend for a cheap low - medium end tablet? :D

yes tablet, and I trust only wacom for my tablet. It hasn't fail me for 4 years-ish. You can buy bamboo wacom tablet small which only cost $150. I have one and I still use it more often than my new big one.

alot of photoshop art is just solid colors with filters, instead of drawing... i made this from scratch in about 10 minutes, and most of that time was wondering what to put in the ark of the grass!

Nice do you get the shading and the light emanating from a point using a gradient tool?
